About the Podcast Pleasantville is directed by Gary Ross in 1998. Pleasantville is about these two peo­ple, David and Jennifer, they’re actu­ally sib­lings. So they get sucked into this black and white TV show where every­thing is per­fect and stuff like that. But they start to bring color into this black and white world because of their imper­fec­tions. Thus they start caus­ing havoc in Pleasantville, they start bring­ing about weird things like a tree catch­ing fire and peo­ple start turn­ing into color and peo­ple start being racist towards peo­ple that are col­ored.
