About the pod­cast The film I’m going to dis­cuss about is Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, directed by Tim Burton. This film is released in 2007. Sweeney Todd is not a tra­di­tional musi­cal. Rather, it’s a musi­cal rap all over. In my opin­ion, it deals with emo­tions far more pow­er­ful as com­pared to other musi­cals such as “Chicago” and “Dreamgirls”, and that’s what makes this film so cap­ti­vat­ing. It is a delight­fully sadis­tic musi­cal in that sense.
