Despite the ever-present human misery, Rick manages to remain uninvolved in World War II now raging across Europe and Northern Africa. But all that changes when Ilsa Lund (Ingrid  Bergman — Gaslight, Notorious) walks through the front door of Rick’s club — Rick must now choose between a life with the woman he loves and becoming the hero that both she and the world need. - Academy Award Winner : Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay – Academy Award Nominations for Best Actor (Humphrey Bogart), Best Supporting Actor (Claude Rains), Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Score

Eleven pals prepare to carry out a – theoretically — foolproof plan to rob five Las Vegas casinos at midnight on New Year’s Eve. Aviator (29 Nov, 10pm) The Aviator is a story about an aviation pioneer Howard Hughes. The eccentric billionaire industrialist and Hollywood film mogul is famous for romancing some of the world’s most beautiful women. The drama recounts the years of his life from the late 1920s through the 1940s, an era when Hughes was directing and producing Hollywood movies and test flying innovative aircrafts he designed and created. AviatorIt also chronicles Hughes’ struggle with his physical disabilities and phobias, and his increasingly erratic, obsessive-compulsive behavior that led him ultimately to isolate himself from his associates and withdraw from the world. It also follows his descent into madness as his compulsiveness for cleanliness gives way to frequent outbursts and ticks. He turns away those closest to him, confining himself and emerging only when absolutely necessary. - Academy Award Winner: Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Achievement in Editing, Best Supporting Actress – Academy Award Nominations: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Sound Mixing
