V for Vendetta was released in 2005 and directed by James McTeigue. It mainly stars Natalie Portman, as Evey Hammond, Hugo Weaving, as “V”, Stephen Rea, as inspec­tor Finch and John Hurt as Adam Sutler. The film is set in the future of Britain as a fas­cist state and it revolves around the desire of peo­ple want­ing to regain their free­dom of speech and to be rid of a total­i­tar­ian state.
