Hi,

We are trying to arouse awareness and enthusiasm with art, film, media and/or design peers/practitioners about the Very Short International Film Festival 2011 to be held at Alliance Francaise 6, 7 and 8 May and 80 other cities around the world at the same time!, as well as screenings of a local selection at the Singapore Arts Festival in the Festival Village later in May 2011.

We want professional, amateur, and aspiring film directors to submit their short films for consideration for both the international and local [entries due 10th February], or local only [entries due 15th March 2011] screenings.

We want a diverse selection of short films to send to Paris to be considered for the International Section of VSIFF 2011…. So if you HAND DELIVER your entry to 179 River Valley Road #01-01, we will extend the deadline date for entries for the international selection process to,

- MONDAY -
14th February 2011

Please assist us and remind your creative community and networks. Also remember the short films can be past works, there is no limit to when they were made, they just MUST NOT exceed three minutes. They must have a title and credits (not included in the 3 minutes).

To download PR and Registration Details, please go to

I would like to draw your attention to a Singaporean made short film called Big Feet which is on the verge of making it to the final 16 of the World’s biggest short film festival Tropfest, which takes place in Sydney on 20th February.

Big Feet tells the bittersweet story of a young girl whose love of running is jeopardised by her ambitious father who pushes her to become a winner.

Tropfest usually selects 16 finalists, but such is the standard this year, they’ve created a public vote for the 16th film.

A great chance for to put Singapore on creative World stage. To vote for Big Feet visit www.youtube.com/tropfest click on the 'Vote' tab and give it a big green thumb's up!

Anyone, member or not, can come to the screenings. We will like to see dedication if you want to be a member, maybe come to meetings once a month?

Hi!

I'm interested to know more about the club. Can one turn up for movie screenings without being a member? Is there any minimum attendance one must have per month if one becomes a member?
