Brought to you by the man who gave you the Dark Knight trilogy and Inception, Christopher Nolan takes a plunge into the unknown with Interstellar, a film that takes you to the extensive edges of the universe and beyond that. With emotional performances by Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain and Mackenzie Foy. This extravagant story about space and our galaxy interpolates with the idea of saving humanity. But most importantly, the value for love. Because love is what connects us, through the characters of Cooper and Murph we wholly understand the bond. On top of that, we are given questions to think about, what lies out there? What is in store for us on other planets? And this is where Nolan exceeds with immersive and masterful combination of 35mm and 70mm cinematography by Hoyte van Hoytema. To add to this delicious mix is Hans Zimmer’s ethereal score that undermines the story beautifully.
Oh, I forgot to mention that Matt Damon was in this movie. Just remember that it’s a sequel, he lives in The Martian.
